Library Advisory Board
The purpose of the Franklin County Public Library Advisory Board is to provide equal access to library services to all the residents of Franklin County. Also, to help formulate consistent plans for the maintenance, operation, and development of library services in Franklin County.
They are the advising governing body regarding recruitment and employment of qualified library director and maintain an on ongoing communication process with the director.
Ensure that the library has and follows a long-range plan. Planning should include friends, community, and staff. Support the librarian, staff, and friends in carrying out the library’s program.
The FCPL Library Advisory Board meets once a month, to review, discuss, and keep abreast of all the library programs, activities, and plans. The meetings rotate monthly to both FCPL locations in Eastpoint and Carrabelle.
